Overview <\/span><\/h3>\n

Manufacturing only what the customer asked for is the basis of a<\/span> pull production planning system.<\/em> This approach allows <\/span>a total adjustment<\/strong> <\/span>and stock control between<\/strong> <\/span>the workstations<\/strong> (<\/span>WIP, work in process)<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The maximum<\/span> quantity of work in process<\/em> is defined in the pull system so that the operator is supplied from the previous work station to produce the right quantity ordered by the customer. This withdrawal gives the signal to the personnel of the previous work station to produce again and replace the materials that have been used. <\/span><\/p>\n

The kanban<\/span> is based on a visual aid system<\/strong> in which cards, boxes, etc<\/span>. are used to give a signal of production or supply, indicating what, when and how much is produced.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
