Overview <\/span><\/h3>\n

Value Stream Map<\/span> VSM<\/em> is an<\/span> a<\/span>nalytical tool<\/strong> that allows companies to obtain a full view of the entire value chain, from the begining of a product\/service until it reach the customer. It is a visual tool <\/span>It is a visual tool<\/strong> that displays the three types<\/span> of flows taking place within the company \u2013 materials<\/strong>,<\/span> information<\/strong> and<\/span> people<\/strong> \u2013 and how they relate to each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

This tool is applied during the first stages of a Lean transformation project. Its purpose is <\/span>to detect the sources of waste<\/strong> so that they can be tackled through the design and implementation of<\/span> action plans<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
